Watermelon Blackberry Lime Salad
This Watermelon Blackberry Lime Salad is the ultimate party, picnic, holiday, potluck, barbecue, or summer dish to serve for easy entertaining! You may also love this Strawberry Watermelon Chicken Salad recipe!
I love the slowness of summer, when friends come late to dinner, you mingle over appetizers (have you tried Watermelon Feta Bites Appetizer?), and then enjoy a summertime meal together late into the evening!
This past weekend, we had our first dinner guests in our new home, and heated up the grill for a delicious salmon dinner! Looking for how to pick a good watermelon? :)
Oh, and bring me all the berries! :)
Summer is about a different pace. Guests come later, stay later as it cools down outside, we cook slower foods, and we savor longer together around the table!
Kitchen update
Just in time for company, my husband got the last of our new KitchenAid appliances hooked up in our kitchen. My hubby has gotten so good with tools and DIY stuff around here. His ability to knock off one project after another amazes me. Being a carpenter’s daughter myself, I’m not so great with tools, but I sure admire my hubs!
More pictures of the kitchen to come, but we did remove all the wood cabinets and paint them white, and added in a new KitchenAid fridge, dishwasher, range, and oven! (Sneak peek, and before pictures, here.)
Watermelon Blackberry Lime Salad
It’s really not summer without a giant watermelon salad, right?
Besides serving the usual fruit salad with large chunks of fresh fruit, or, served in a scooped out pineapple, or my sweeter fruit salad with poppyseed dressing, we love watermelon and berries!
You’re not a blackberry lover? Add fresh blueberries!
Super easy, you only need 4 ingredients to make this gorgeous summer salad, and it’s perfect for Fourth of July!
During summer, we’re not so rushed, but hang out together and enjoy the fresh foods, and warm air, and great conversation, and mingle and … SAVOR … together!
