All it takes is a little extra effort to lay out a board. But it’s special, and if you want to keep people around the table a little longer (hand raised) – BUILD A BOARD!

Pancake Breakfast Board with bacon

Ingredients for XO Pancake Breakfast Board

  • Silver Dollar Pancakes (I buy at Trader Joe’s)
  • Precooked bacon
  • Blood oranges
  • Mini cinnamon rolls (I like to buy ahead and freeze)
  • Slivered almonds
  • Nutella
  • Lemon curd
  • Strawberry jam (or what jam is in your fridge?)
  • Mascarpone (or serve with fresh whipped cream)
  • Maple syrup
  • Blueberries + raspberries

How to arrange a pancake board

  1. Arrange the pancakes in stacks, in a circle (to make big O).
  2. Criss-cross the bacon to make an X.
  3. Arrange blood oranges (or fruit in season) in the corners of the board.
  4. Fill in open areas with Danish, cinnamon rolls, fruit, and jams!

Make an "X O" Valentine's Day Breakfast Board with silver dolllar pancakes!

Ingredients
 

  • 2 11.3 oz boxes Silver Dollar Pancakes, Trader Joe’s
  • 1 3.25 oz bacon, pre-cooked
  • 4 blood oranges, quartered
  • 1 dozen mini cinnamon rolls
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup nutella
  • 1/2 cup lemon curd
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone
  • 1/2 cup syrup
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 cups raspberries

Instructions
 

  • Arrange the pancakes in stacks, and create two circles (to make a big O).
  • Criss-cross the bacon to make an X; do this twice.
  • On a long 12 x 36 board, arrange the pancakes and bacon to make an O X O X.
  • Arrange blood oranges (or fruit in season) in the corners of the board.
  • Fill small bowls with jam, curd, mascarpone (or whipped cream), and nutella. Fill another small bowl with almonds. Fill a mini pitcher with maple syrup.
  • Fill in open areas with cinnamon rolls, Danish, fruit, and jams!
