Is it cheaper to buy a fruit plate or make your own?

Making your own fruit arrangement much more affordable than buying a store-made fruit tray. It’s also better quality, fresher, and you can choose whatever fruits you like to include on the board.

How do you store a fruit tray?

If you have leftover fruit, it’s best to store sliced fruit in an airtight container and pop it in the refrigerator. Store the fruits separately (unless berries) so the juices don’t mix together and make the flavors mix together.

We love to take the leftovers and put in smoothies the next day!

How much fruit do you need for 25 Guests?

We estimate about 1/2 cup of fruit per guest.

How do you serve a 4th of July Fruit Tray?

Make ahead (or it only takes about 5 minutes to assemble), and set it out.

This is what we love about this salad—it can be an appetizer, salad, or a dessert!

You can also serve it with whipped cream or fruit dips.

Try making a homemade chocolate sauce or caramel sauce for dipping.

Can you make it the night before?

In general, it’s safe to make a fresh fruit platter in the morning on the day you want to serve it. And if you’re using heartier fruits, you can make it the night before. Either way, store it tightly wrapped in a nice cold fridge.

Enjoy!
