Tips and substitutions:

  • This recipe serves a crowd! It’s also great for a girlfriend party!
  • Use ripe and fresh fruits for the best flavor. Mix it up for the season (apples or nectarines).
  • When using nectarines, leave the skin on (no need to peel).
  • Swap out the mint for fresh basil.
  • For an extra kick, add a an extra splash of brandy.
  • Let the sangria sit in the refrigerator to allow the fruits meld together
  • Add more berries, like blueberries or raspberries (great for the Fourth of July).
  • We love to serve the sangria over ice for a large party.
  • Garnish each glass with a slice of orange, lemon, or lime, and a sprig of mint. Beautiful!
  • Make 1/2 the recipe if you want to make one glass pitcher (a smaller amount).
