Cheese board for dinner
If fancy dinner parties are not for you, have you thought about something different, such as serving “appetizers for dinner?”
Even if it’s not a holiday–set out a board, and they will come. At our first house in our little community, 4 years ago, we left the giant board inside and everyone filled their plates, especially with a little “you know who” who loves to take bites himself (yes, that would be Alder the Whoodle, who we now call Alder Butter!) :)
Easy to prepare holiday snack board
This charcuterie platter, especially for a holiday weekend, is a HUGE HIT.
Make the eggs green, and serve these Lime Guacamole Deviled Eggs!
Grab the recipe (print the shopping list).
It only takes about 20 minutes to prepare!
On a large platter arrange the food items in rows or small dishes. Serve!

I love all your great combinations! I have a large family of young adults now and they love the larger amount of meats and cheeses. One question, where did you get your beautiful board? It is definetly a show stopper!
Here you go Becky!

Appetizers are my favorites to make at home, they’re so easy to prepare and don’t require much of cooking skills! Thanks for this idea!
Pinned and saved for later as I’m going to host a friend party soon. Thanks for sharing.
We’re moving into an over-55 neighborhood soon and I know I’m going to save this post, and many more. I would love to know where you found that large, beautiful tray! Thanks, Cathy
What is the diameter of your cheese board ? Can you share where you found it? After hosting a full meal for Easter, I want to figure out something easy for Mother’s Day. This looks great! Thank you
It’s very large (and heavy) and I bought it at Pier 1, Julie! :)
It is 28-inches but is not available anymore, which is why we came out with our own line of boards. Check out the 4 epic sizes (with raised lip), that are food safe!
Where did you get that wonderful board?
Pier 1 :)
Hi Susan, it’s no longer available but we are selling 4 epic sizes now (food safe, with a lip). Check out The Big Board page!
Such a great idea. I need to get one of these boards. Happy Easter
