Friends, Happy Taco Tuesday! Forget formal parties and serve family-style foods for easy hosting, like this Trader Joe’s Easy Taco Salad!

Easy Taco Salad

My husband and I were just talking how in our past home, how we plated each meal and brought it to our guests! Now in our mountain home, we’ve pretty much served every meal buffet-style or family-style!

Funny how styles change. There’s a place for both, for sure.

Trader Joe’s Easy Taco Salad

This Trader Joe’s Easy Taco Salad is a crowd-pleaser, but it’s also a delicious family meal.

You can pick up all of these ingredients at Trader Joe’s or your local market.

You can also make a Taco Bubble Pizza or a my friend Holly’s Mexican Stuffed Peppers!

Ingredients to make Taco Salad

Shredded iceberg lettuce, cooked ground turkey (or you can use beef or chicken)–don’t forget the taco seasoning! Make your ground turkey mixture ahead of time (Trader Joe’s also has their own taco seasoning).

Mexican ingredients like tomatoes, black beans, corn, olives, and always Queso Fresco!

Then the toppings: Favorite salsas, guacamole, corn salsa (our favorite, you can find it in the “chips” section), sour cream, cilantro, and jalapeno (a fun garnish, but don’t leave the seeds in!). Add chips, too!

How to serve a taco salad

It makes a great potluck dish, and the toppings are set off to the side, so everyone can add their own!

Make the main dish portion in a giant bowl (layer it for a pretty presentation).

How cute are these little bowls? I bought them at Lark Mountain Modern, here in Bend, Oregon (downtown). I love that store.

Fill the small bowls with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and corn salsa.

Well, I should mention, this giant MK Porcelain salad bowl is also from Lark’s. I got it for my birthday last year.

I made a hint to my family that I’d like the next smaller version (you can pick your favorite color) this year for my birthday in July!

Serve a taco salad at a potluck

For this recipe today, Easy Taco Salad, set it out with a batch of tacos (or my Easy Taco Recipe Dinner Board), with this Watermelon Chili Lime Feta Salad, and you’ve got a party!

Really, guests just want a place to sit, relax, let their hair down, and feel at home.

And enjoy good food.

This salad you can prepare before your guests arrive.

Remember, a relaxed hostess means relaxed guests! Which is another reason why you need to find an entertaining style that works for you, and makes you relaxed and ready for your company!

And don’t forget the gelato, or you can make these Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches!

Happy hosting!
