Ingredients for Honey Pepper Bacon Recipe
The idea for weekend breakfasts is to emphasize the connections made around the table, and to have some fun with your meal, right? Bacon always makes the menu complete!
All you need are these ingredients:
- Thick-sliced bacon (we buy Thick Sliced Center Cut Bacon from Costco)
- Honey
- Fresh cracked pepper
Recipes that we cook over and over again may seem mundane, but when they’re placed on the table (or a board) with our loved ones—oh how delicious, once again!
I don’t cook bacon on a regular basis, but when company comes to town, it’s so easy to pop into the oven for a great breakfast!
How to bake bacon
On a foil-lined sheet pan, lay bacon into a single layer. Season with fresh cracked black pepper and flip. Drizzle the other side with honey and season with more fresh pepper. Place on the center rack of a cold oven, then turn the heat on to 350 degrees (while the pan is warming up).
Depending on the thickness of your bacon and desired crispiness, cook and check for doneness until it is crisp enough for your liking.
How to serve honey pepper bacon:
- Enjoy the bacon on breakfast sandwiches, with pancakes, on salads, or even sprinkled onto desserts.
- The bacon is a flavorful addition to burgers, pizza, and salad—and boards!
- Skewer the bacon on a stick and make bacon appetizers!
- Set out a platter at a party and watch it disappear in minutes.

So how will you be slowing down this weekend, besides cooking a nice, leisurely breakfast or brunch?
