Melt-In-Your-Mouth Double Chocolate Brownie Recipe
This Melt-In-Your-Mouth Double Chocolate Brownie Recipe is the perfect dessert for any picnic, potluck, or casual dinner party (serve with ice cream)!
Friends, this summer has been magical. Not only because of our outdoor experiences, our kids being home, the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a few trips in our Vanagon, and so many meals on our front deck.
Magic has happened, not because of a perfect or beautiful table setting or a perfectly planned meal (like this Melt-In-Your-Mouth Double Chocolate Brownie Recipe for dessert). But because we’ve made it a priority to bring people together.
Sometimes the excuses that we make to not host a gathering get in the way of a very sweet time of hospitality. Something we all crave, even though it’s hard to put our finger on it sometimes, because we’re all too busy.
If you struggle with things being perfect, I wrote about shame in this post a few years back.
Dr. Brene says that perfectionism is rooted in shame. That can really hurt, hit home, and go deep, and often goes back to our childhood upbringing. See if you fit into one of these categories!
I rarely think about setting the table, until it’s time to set the table. Sometimes it matches, sometimes not. What I’ve noticed over the years is the table setting is a reflection of our personalities! That is actually fun. No judgment involved.
I don’t spend much time even thinking about it.
I move on to what’s real and important. Making sure my menu is planned out, so when it’s time to eat, we’re organized and can … get to the table!
Above, use what you have and create a pretty appetizer spread! Easy to mix fruit with crackers and cheese, nuts and veggies. A little bit of something for everyone!
The table is what we all long for, Friends!
Aren’t we hungry for table time??

I’m ending with this Melt-In-Your-Mouth Double Chocolate Brownie Recipe and Old-Fashioned Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream (some dishes served with a swirl of peanut butter).
A summer rule for us: Dessert is served only when we have dinner guests.
These are the perfect brownies to bring camping, on a picnic, to a potluck.
A true party hit – with double chocolate and a hint of almond!
ENJOY!
