I want to thank so many of you writing to me with my new email format. I’m thinking I will be sending “newsy” emails twice a month, with a lot of links for things I’m loving. I’m loving connecting with you all, and I never thought I’d miss so much traveling out of the country, live music, and dining with friends in a larger group setting. Oh, how I miss big parties!
Hosting is not about the host
But we’re slowing getting back into hosting. Hosting is not about the host, but about the people, as I’ve always said. :)
Ingredients for Quick Mango Salsa
One of the things I’m loving right now is this homemade Quick Mango Salsa Recipe! You’ll need only six basic ingredients to make this easy mango salsa:
- Ripe mangos
- Red onion
- Cilantro
- Jalapeño
- Garlic
- Lime
- Salt and pepper
Make and allow the salsa to sit for at least ten minutes before serving. The acid in the limes will macerate the mangos and thicken the salsa.
We’ve had a few entertaining moments this past month, which really warms my heart. And serving tacos is one of the easiest ways to host. Because everyone seems to love a good taco. I have a new board/size coming up, so stay tuned!
How to serve mango salsa:
This mango salsa would be fantastic on fish tacos or any kind of taco. Really any Mexican-themed dish is great with salsa. It goes well with chips, guacamole, and even vegetarian tacos.
It’s also a hit at any potluck dinner!
You could also serve it as a side salad with fish (or this shrimp avocado salad), or just eat it straight out of the bowl as a salad.
For this recipe today, this Fresh Mango Salsa is delicious on tacos. Of course, it’s great served on a chips and salsa board, too.
We hosted friends for tacos, beans, and the whole spread. This Quick Mango Salsa was literally “scooped up” rather quickly – it’s that good.
What do you eat with mango salsa?
It is delicious plain as a salad, with chips as an appetizer, or as a topping for tacos, chicken, fish, steak, or pork – and salads.
No matter how you serve this easy Quick Mango Salsa recipe, I guarantee it will be gone in minutes!
Enjoy!
