Israeli Quinoa Chopped Salad

Friends, I’ve been thinking about conversations around our dinner table this summer. Real, honest, fun, loving … great moments with great friends. Some new friends, some old.

We love inviting new people into our home. We love getting to know others. How about you?

I don’t know about you, but our same ol’ same ol’ lives gets a little … boring. Don’t get me wrong, because we really love each other as a family.

But we never want life to just be our “family.” I seriously know people who only invite family into their homes for a meal. That’s beautiful, but how sad.

This is when I know that we made a right move with a dinner invite to strangers. There’s more laughter, smart conversations, kindness, humor (always), cheering others on, honesty … less about us, more about them.

Hosting new people

Hosting new people is good, friends! Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, there are little ways to make our gathering special. It could be the ending to the meal, like serving a variety of gelato.

True confession: This has been my go-to hosting dessert all summer long! I have not wnted to heat up my house with baking, and guests really seem to enjoy it.

Plus, all you introverts out there, the “variety” of flavors ignites some fun conversation!

I’ll never know here on my blog who is inspired by what (unless I get an honest email from you), but I really hope that this post today ignites a spark to reach out and try something new.
