Strawberry Brie Crostini Appetizer
A Strawberry Brie Crostini Appetizer is made with simple ingredients: A baguette, strawberry jam, Brie, and fresh rosemary. Use any kind of jam, and make each bite starting with classic brie and a bread. These minis have all the flavors of warm brie in a two sweet bites, and are a delightful appetizer to set out for Valentine’s Day, summer entertaining, or just because!

If you have jam in the fridge, Brie cheese, and a baguette (in the freezer), then this appetizer is for you! Let’s just say you don’t need decadent ingredients to achieve big, delicious flavors! This Strawberry Brie Crostini Appetizer is one of my favorite weekend appetizers to set out (and also yummy for a Valentine’s, 4th of July, Memorial Day, or Easter party), that is so easy, even kids can make it!
This Brie Jam Toast recipe is simple and delicious. Each bite is sweet, salty, creamy, and crispy—all in one! Even though a baked brie can be heaven, it’s still big, messy, and once all the good toppings are gone, you are left with melted cheese. Sometimes the cheese alone might be too “strong” for some people. So these bites are “heaven” with both sweet and savory flavors melded together.

So for our favorite, SIMPLE appetizer, start with fresh baguette you just picked up from the market, along with a brie log (easy to slice). Want to try a bigger wheel of brie, then this Strawberry Honey Brie with Toasted Walnuts is a must for a larger crowd.

And you don’t have strawberry jam? What kind of jam do you have in the fridge? Any flavored jam pairs well with Brie – I promise! I really think the fresh herb on top makes this recipe.
The easiest ingredients to make Strawberry Brie Crostini Appetizer
- Full size baguette
- Butter (or olive oil or both)
- Good quality Brie cheese (a brie log is super easy to slice!)
- Strawberry preserves (jam or jelly)
- Fresh rosemary

How do you make crostini?
- When making the crostini, I love to use butter. But you can also drizzle with olive oil. Or, you can use both butter and oil.
- Slice the baguette! Place on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Mix both butter and olive oil together and brush onto the crostini.
- I make sure the rack is in the upper middle position of the oven.
- Broil – watch the oven because you don’t want to over-toast the bread.

Assemblying to make Brie Jam Toasts
- While the crostini are warm, spread on the strawberry jam, and then lay down a slice of Brie.
- Fill a platter with Strawberry Brie Crostini.
- Lastly, sprinkle with finely chopped rosemary and serve!

Tips and substitutions
- This recipe serves 8-10.
- Optional to heat up the brie to make it soft and more spreadable. Or, just slice and serve (if you use a brie log).
- We used a (nice and soft), breakfast brie. We added it to the warm, out of the oven, crostini with the jam.
- Don’t have rosemary? Fresh chopped basil is also wonderful on these bites.
- Re-toast the leftovers in an airfryer for only a few minutes – they taste as good as new!
- Serve on a large BIGIBOARD as the center star appetizer (with veggies and dips).

Serving
We love this appetizer any time of year because you can use up what “jam” is in the fridge. We served this for guests who came for dinner, with grilled steak, a Marry Me Caesar Wedge Salad, and nice wine! A very simple meal with a warm piece of Coconut Almond Cake for dessert.
For an appetizer board, serve on the Big Board as the “center star.”
