How to make a Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board:

  1. While a traditional epic charcuterie board includes cured meats and cheese pairings, our Valentine’s Day cheese-style board focuses on sweet and savory. Whether you’re hosting a Galentine’s Day party or a cozy night in with your significant other, here’s how to make a Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board everyone will love.
  2. On a round board with a lip (so the food stays on), arrange the fruit on one side of the board. On the other side of the board, lay down the three varieties of cheese and the salami.
  3. Use small bowls if you choose. For this board, we filled a small bowl with the heart-shaped cucumber slices.
  4. With a cookie cutter, cut out heart-shaped pieces of bread for the sandwiches. Optional to toast the bread. Lay down next to the meat and cheese.
  5. Fill in the open areas with the remaining sweets and snacks.
  6. Lastly, garnish with small rosemary sprigs.

Tips and substitutions:

Think of more pink, white, and red foods to add to the board.

  • Add a small bowl of red jam or jelly (like raspberry or strawberry).
  • Lay down pink and white macarons.
  • Fill in open spaces with more chocolate: Buy heart-shaped chocolate cookies at Trader Joe’s, or just break candy bars into pieces.
  • Add “white” marcona almonds.
