Cardamom Pear Blueberry Crisp

Friends, just a little something tasty, something to “wet your whistle”, a Cardamom Pear Blueberry Crisp. (Or, if you love apples, how about this Salted Caramel Apple Cake?)

Don’t you feel that making a meal and sharing it with others (new or old friends!) gives you a reason to celebrate life together?

Let’s not make this complicated. Let’s just do it and enjoy each other … in person!

In real life.

Cardamom Pear Blueberry Crisp

Which is why I love to host in our home. I love the table experience, being intentional, coming together with people who I may barely know, or maybe have known a lifetime.

Food just tastes better when you share it with others, whether your family, friends, or a neighbor. (Don’t forget Emily’s Kindness Tour that’s happening right now!)

This is what I love about the table experience: Calling one another to higher places, talking through where we’re at in life.

Listening and caring, and sometimes offering a few words of advice, when asked, and showing compassion, humility, gentleness and patience.

We see where others are coming from.

If we’ve been there in previous experiences, we relate, and we empathize.

Lastly, we share our tables and we love.

This delicious Cardamom Pear Blueberry Crisp – so easy! And what exactly is cardamom? Think of a spice with hints of lemon, mint, and smoke.
