Christmas 3 Holiday Salads - Cranberry Grape Walnut Salad

Cranberry Grape Walnut Salad Recipe

One of our best holiday salads is my Mom and Aunt Barbara’s BEST Fresh Cranberry Grape Walnut Salad, delicious for a potluck or dinner party!

Let’s just say, we never had a holiday without this salad. Even when we went to my mom’s sisters’ homes, they would serve this salad.

I love this picture of mom and her sisters (my mom is 2nd on the right).

Christmas 3 Holiday Salads - Balela Salad

Balela Salad Recipe (also great served as a dip)

Balela Salad is a delicious Middle Eastern salad, gluten-free and vegetarian. Great served as a black bean salad or dip, optional to add feta cheese.

Grab your favorite chips!

You can pretty much count on this salad (or dip) being comnpletely devoured. It’s that good, and so fresh!

Strive for excellence, not perfection

Here’s a great quote as we head into the next few days of Christmas, enjoying our family and friends and celebrating Christ’s birth.

Strive for excellence, not perfection, because we don’t live in a perfect world.” –Joyce Meyer

The whole reason for Christmas is for that pressure to be taken off of us, our works and deeds and trying to make everything perfect. We set ourselves up for disappointment by the lies and false expectations, and then we expect our family to join us in the imprisonment.

For me, I want to lay down those tendencies and strive for excellence … and if I get there, then that is great. If I don’t, I know that my family and friends and God still loves me.
