You can get kids involved in making this board, by letting them make their own creation. That is what I love about boards. There is no right or wrong way to make them. As I always say, use what you have, and make it your own.

Why make this board for St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is all about rainbows, and where do Leprechauns leave their pots of gold? (Note: see the pot of gold on this board – chocolates from Trader Joe’s). For more of the green theme,  try  our  St. Patrick’s Day Grazing Board.

So how do you make a rainbow fruit and cheese board for St. Patrick’s Day?

  1. Take a large round prepared board (The Big Board works great for this), and start at the top, and layer the following fruit in a round rainbow fashion: blackberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, mango, coconut strips, raspberries.
  2. Heat up the pancakes and keep warm until serving. When ready to serve, place on a plate on the lower left of the board. (Remember if plate is hot, use a hot pad.)
  3. To the right, add the Brie cheese, syrup, and chocolate coins.
  4. To the left, place the butter.
  5. Fill in open areas at the bottom with fresh blueberries. On a hot pad, place the hot plate of pancakes on the board and serve right away!
