EASY Pear Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Pinwheels
These party favorites, Pear Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Pinwheels, are made with DeLallo Foods SaladSavors®! Prep and refrigerate; slice and bake!
In between the snow falling hard here in Oregon, with lots of shoveling and snow blowing, I’ve managed to get all my cards and packages in the mail, and groceries purchased for a few dinners we will have together this season as a family.
Tonight, we will sit by the fire, welcome friends to our home, and carry plates of food into the living room.
I’ll set out delicious appetizers, like these Pear Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Pinwheels and munchies on our side table, to be enjoyed by all.
One thing I love about casual holiday entertaining is it takes the pressure off of all the details that would normally go into a dinner party.
Our friends at DeLallo make it so easy, too, with their SaladSavors® and olives and specialty foods, to put out a spread like this! Foods like olives, antipasti, bruschetta, tapenade & spread, and packaged olives!
At DeLallo, they specialize in flavorful gourmet toppings in a number of tasty combinations that are conveniently packaged and perfectly portioned with a specialty cheese and a combination of complementary flavors.
Like this classic winter combination, fresh goat cheese, dried cranberries, and walnuts!
Pear Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Pinwheels
For the pinwheels, we opened a SaladSavor package of Bold Gorgonzola, with dried pears, and toasted almonds, and made quick and easy Pear Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Pinwheels.
All you need is a package of your favorite SaladSavors®, puff pastry, honey, and one egg!
Roll out the puff pastry on a floured board.
Spread with honey, and sprinkle with the pear, almond, gorgonzola ingredients. Which, by the way, did you know that SaladSavors® come in 7 different flavors?
Roll, brush with egg white, bake and serve!
Casual entertaining
Casual entertaining, with an appetizer buffet, is sometimes all you need for an early holiday party!
We’ll sit around our small space and enjoy a few bites of food … and each other!
There’s a joy that arises from gratitude for all that is.
A joy that is full.
We also enjoyed tortellini drizzled with olive oil and cherry tomatoes. YUM!
Salamis, roasted veggies, and cheeses.
And when it’s time, serve this delicious White Chocolate Peppermint Bark frozen dessert, easy to pull from the freezer right before serving!
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

This is my kind of party! Everything looks amazing!
Such great ideas for parties!! Happy Holidays Sandy!
That pear and Gorgonzola combo is hard to beat. We served 3 different pizzas to guests this past Sunday – the one with pear and Gorgonzola was the first to disappear. These pinwheels look wonderful!
I love anything with Gorgonzola, so these SaladSavors are perfect for me. What a creative way to use them!
Nice, different appetizer idea. Would you share where in Oregon you find this line of products?
