Tips for making boards
- Use a food safe board.
- Grab the big board (links below) with a lip around the outside so the food stays on the board. There’s nothing worse going to a party, where boards are served, and it’s a royal mess after the first 10 minutes, because there is food all over the counter. Boards with a raised edge are the SECRET.
- Make the board your own. You may find a recipe, or a guide, but ultimately the most unique board is one that you create, using your own imagination.
- Use what you have–it’s great to buy a few food items to make the board special, but I often rummage through my fridge and see what I have, and use it up.
Guests love boards. They show love, that you care (with the creativity of putting it together), plus, everyone gets to serve themselves.
Happy board-building and Merry Christmas!
